As she transitioned into full-time clinical practice, Dr. Paige quickly recognized a disconnect in traditional healthcare. The insurance-based model often limits time with patients and dictates care in a way that can compromise outcomes. For someone who values both the physical and mental components of healing, this approach didn’t align with the level of care she knew patients deserved.

That realization led to the creation of The Persistence Project.

Built on years of personal and professional persistence, The Persistence Project exists to provide a different kind of care—one that prioritizes time, education, and a deeper understanding of your body. The goal isn’t just to reduce pain, but to help you move with confidence and return to the activities that matter most to you.

Whether you're navigating pain, recovering from injury, or looking to stay active long-term, Dr. Paige is here to help you build a body that supports you through every season of life.

Let’s learn how to persist—together.

Welcome to The persistence project!

Dr. Paige Rainford’s journey into physical therapy began with her own experience—over a decade of persistent knee pain and an early introduction to PT that completely changed how she understood her body. Through movement, she discovered not just relief, but a deep curiosity about how the body works and how it can heal. That curiosity quickly turned into a calling.

During graduate school, after nearly 15 years of chronic knee pain, Dr. Paige was able to fully resolve her symptoms—and they haven’t returned since. That experience continues to shape how she approaches care today: with the belief that lasting change is possible when you understand and work with your body, not against it.

She earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Husson University and went on to complete an orthopedic residency at the Cincinnati VA Medical Center, where she advanced her skills in treating complex orthopedic conditions.
